We are currently expanding our network of expert trainers and consultants and are inviting Freelance Machine Learning Engineers with MLOps experience to collaborate with us on industry projects, workshops, and corporate training programs.
Role Overview
As a Freelance Machine Learning Engineer (with MLOps experience), you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable ML solutions while contributing to corporate training modules, project-based learning, and consulting assignments. You’ll combine technical expertise with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, impactful ways to learners and clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Learning & Model Development
- Design, build, and optimize ML/DL models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Conduct data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate on building practical ML case studies for GSA training programs.
2. MLOps Implementation
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring using MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, or Vertex AI.
- Implement model versioning, reproducibility, and automation workflows.
- Deploy models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Consulting & Training Delivery
- Deliver corporate workshops, hands-on labs, and project-based sessions on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and MLOps best practices.
- Provide consulting support for organizations implementing ML solutions and MLOps pipelines.
- Mentor learners and professionals on model lifecycle management, scalability, and automation.
4. Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with GSA’s curriculum design team to create training content, real-world use cases, and lab exercises.
- Prepare documentation for ML workflows, pipelines, and deployment architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Machine Learning or Data Science, with proven hands-on exposure to MLOps tools and practices.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
- MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, or SageMaker
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Data handling: SQL, NoSQL, Pandas, NumPy
Preferred Skills
- Experience in training, mentoring, or technical consulting.
- Familiarity with LLM (Large Language Models) and Generative AI workflows.
- Experience with API-based model deployment (FastAPI, Flask).
- Understanding of model governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and simplifying complex topics.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage projects independently.
